This upgrade to the shields allows a ship to withstand external stresses involved in wormhole travel.

The excess energy absorbed in wormhole traversal requires dispersion into a high grade medium such as a nipper bar.

Note: This addon will destroy one nipper bar for each jump through a wormhole, so make sure you store some aboard.
